Frankincense

What it is
Frankincense is the dried resin of the Boswellia tree — tears of golden sap, harvested by hand the way they have been for thousands of years. It is one of humanity's oldest treasured substances, carried along trade routes, burned in temples, and pressed into skin preparations across every era. We use it two ways: the resin-infused oil, and the steam-distilled essential oil.
Why we use it
Mature skin and frankincense have a very old friendship. Beyond its reputation, it earns its place in our line for the experience: a quiet, grounding, slightly citrus-resinous scent that turns an evening application into an actual ritual — the breath you take while pressing in your balm matters more than most ingredients.
What it offers your skin
A beloved traditional companion for the look of mature, seasoned skin. A grounding aromatic experience that anchors evening rituals. And in our signature balm, it perfumes without overwhelming — quiet and resinous, never loud.
