What it is
Green coffee oil comes from unroasted coffee beans, which have a completely different chemistry than the roasted kind that goes into your morning cup. The unroasted beans retain more of their original compounds, including the ones that give green coffee oil its reputation as a brightening botanical for tired-looking skin.
Why we use it
Because the eye area asks for something specific. Most ingredients are too dense, too active, or too fragrant for the thin skin around the eyes. Green coffee oil sits beautifully there. We chill the bottle in the refrigerator, and one cool drop wakes up the under-eye area in a way that feels like the morning version of a quiet breath.
