Olive Squalane

The Ingredient Library · Foundations

What it is

Squalane is the stable, skin-ready form of squalene — a lipid your own skin produces naturally and loses steadily with age. Ours is derived from olives: a clear, weightless, completely scentless oil that feels less like applying something and more like replenishing something.

Why we use it

Squalane is the great diplomat of our serums. Because skin already knows this molecule, it absorbs instantly without heaviness, carries our botanical actives evenly, and suits even reactive skin. It is also beautifully stable — no preservatives needed — which makes it the silky backbone of every water-free serum we make.

What it offers your skin

Weightless moisture that absorbs without residue. Replenishment of a lipid mature skin makes less of each year. A soft, supple finish under balms and over damp skin. And rare gentleness — squalane is among the least likely oils to trouble sensitive or blemish-prone skin.
