Pumpkin Seed Oil
The Ingredient Library · Botanical & Seed Oils
What it is
Pumpkin seed oil is pressed from the dark green seeds inside winter pumpkins, primarily the Styrian variety grown in central Europe. The oil that comes out is so deeply green it looks almost black in the bottle, and it carries a nutty, savory scent that makes you want to eat it on bread.
Why we use it
For hair and scalp. Pumpkin seed oil has a long traditional association with healthy-looking hair, and a chemistry rich in zinc, magnesium, and naturally-occurring plant sterols. We use it in our Radiant Root Hair and Scalp Serum because the scalp asks for the same nourishment the rest of your skin does. The hair you see on the surface starts with what is happening underneath.
What it offers your skin
A scalp-loving, mineral-rich presence. A traditional companion for hair care across European cultures. A nourishing oil for the skin that grows your hair.
