What it is
Colloidal oatmeal is whole oats milled into a powder so fine the particles stay suspended in water rather than settling to the bottom. The texture is silky, the color is the soft cream of dried oat groats, and the scent is faintly nutty and grounding. It has been used on skin for at least two thousand years, mentioned in Roman texts and used in cultures across the world for skin that asks for kindness.
