Jojoba Oil

What it is
Jojoba oil is, technically, not really an oil at all. It is a liquid wax pressed from the seeds of the jojoba shrub, a desert plant native to the American Southwest and northern Mexico. The clear, golden liquid that comes out of those seeds bears such a close resemblance to the natural sebum on human skin that scientists in the 1970s started studying it specifically for that reason.
Why we use it
Because skin recognizes it. Jojoba sits remarkably well on most faces, absorbs quickly without feeling heavy, and behaves like skin’s own oil rather than a foreign substance. That makes it a quiet workhorse in our serums and balms. It does not announce itself. It just makes everything else feel more wearable.
What it offers your skin
A weightless, fast-absorbing presence. A natural compatibility with the skin’s own lipid profile. Comfort without heaviness, even on combination or oilier skin.
