Meet Jana
I'm Jana. Wife, mama, maker, and the slightly quirky friend who is happiest with her hands in something. Usually a sourdough starter, sometimes a jar of tallow, often both before breakfast.
For as long as I can remember, I've been the one in my family drawn to making things by hand. Not because it's trendy. Because it's how I'm wired. I was making salves and balms long before I ever imagined it becoming a business. Brewing kombucha and fire cider in the kitchen. Drying herbs from the garden. Mixing things up and Googling questions at 1 a.m. that make my husband slowly close the laptop and say, “maybe come to bed?”
It all started as a way to care for my people. My kids, my husband, my neighbors, my friends. I wanted to know what was going on my family's skin, and I wanted it to be simple, real, and rooted in the way God designed things to work. Not full of ingredients I couldn't pronounce.
I fell in love with the kitchen. I learned to make balms from grass-finished tallow. I brewed kombucha for my gut. I fell in love with sourdough and shared my starter with my mom and sisters, and it became this unexpected bond between us. One thing led to another, and over the years of researching, experimenting, caring, and praying over my family, something bigger began to grow.
That something became Radiant Roots Wellness.
Today I handcraft nourishing tallow balms, botanical serums, and small-batch sourdough bread right here in my community. Every product that leaves my hands carries the same intention. Pure, simple, made with love. Nothing unnecessary. Nothing fake. Just honest ingredients, mixed slowly, in a kitchen.
This isn't just a business to me. It's the culmination of years spent learning, experimenting, mothering, praying, and slowly discovering what I now know is my calling. Making things with my hands for your home and your family.
Whether you're here for skincare or simply learning to care for your family more naturally, I'm so glad you found your way here. And if you're local, I'd be honored to bake a fresh sourdough loaf for your table.
