The scent is grounding and prayerful: frankincense resin and essential oil together, with a complex, woody sweetness. A whisper of methylene blue gives it a soft blue tint that melts in clear.
What's inside, and why it matters for changing skin
Tallow's fatty acid profile is the closest match in nature to your own skin's lipids — the very lipids your body produces less of after 40. It feels like home to skin that's lost its softness, and it works without needing a long list of synthetics to back it up.

Frankincense resin + essential oil

What to expect
First week: Skin feels softer immediately. Some women feel a difference within days (like Sue, above). Others see no dramatic change yet — that's normal.
Weeks 2–3: Skin is recalibrating. It might feel oilier or drier than expected for a few days, or do nothing at all. This is the adjustment window.

Honest answers to common questions
Will it smell like beef?
No. There's a faint, clean scent in the jar from the rendered fat itself — but on skin it disappears within a minute. What lingers is the frankincense.
Will it break me out?
Tallow's fatty acid profile is similar to your own skin's lipids, so most people find it non-comedogenic. Customers with break-out prone skin do well with it (see Melissa's review). If your skin is actively reactive or break-out prone, start with a small area and patch test. For congestion-focused skin, reach for Radiant Clear instead.
How long will a jar last?
A 2 oz jar typically lasts 4–6 weeks with daily face use. A 4 oz jar lasts 8–12 weeks. Tallow is dense — you genuinely need less than you think.
Pregnancy safe?
This balm contains frankincense essential oil. If you're pregnant or nursing and want to be cautious, reach for Bare Balm (two-ingredient, pregnancy and baby safe) instead.
