Completely unscented — carrying only the very faint, clean aroma of pure, rendered grass-fed tallow, which disappears on skin within a minute. A bright, natural ivory color, signaling its purity.
What's inside, and why two ingredients are enough
Tallow's fatty acid profile is the closest match in nature to your own skin's lipids — which is exactly why it feels at home on the skin that can't tolerate anything else. For reactive skin, less is more, and tallow is the most.

Safe for babies and newborns?
Yes. Bare Balm is made specifically with babies in mind — only grass-fed tallow and castor oil, both of which are food-grade and gentle enough for the most delicate skin. Many parents use it for diaper changes and dry baby cheeks.
Pregnancy and nursing safe?
Yes — completely. No essential oils, no botanicals, no fragrance. Bare Balm is one of the most-reached-for products by pregnant and nursing women. It's also a nipple balm.
Will it smell like beef?
No. There's a faint, clean scent in the jar from the rendered fat itself — but on skin it disappears within a minute, leaving nothing behind. This is the truly unscented option.
How long will a jar last?
A 4 oz jar typically lasts 6–10 weeks for one person. A 8 oz lasts most families 3–4 months. You'll find yourself reaching for it more often than you expect.
