Helichrysum
The Ingredient Library · Essential Oils & Aromatics
What it is
Helichrysum is sometimes called the everlasting flower or the immortelle, because the harvested flower keeps its golden color even after drying. The oil is steam-distilled from the small yellow blooms of Helichrysum italicum, a Mediterranean shrub that grows on rocky hillsides in southern France, Corsica, and Croatia. It is one of the most expensive essential oils in our cabinet and one of the most loved.
Why we use it
Because it earns every dollar. Helichrysum has a long traditional reputation for skin marked by time, weather, and life. We use it in Radiant Restore for hands and chest, and in Radiant Awakening for the under-eye area, where its golden character belongs.
What it offers your skin
A precious traditional companion for the look of mature, weathered, or thinned skin. A subtle, slightly honeyed aroma. The ingredient that earns the eyebrow it commands on a label.
