Tea Tree
The Ingredient Library · Essential Oils & Aromatics
What it is
Tea tree oil is steam-distilled from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a tree native to the swampy coastal regions of eastern Australia. Indigenous Australian communities have used the leaves for thousands of years, and the oil has been a fixture of Western natural skincare since the 1920s. The scent is sharp, medicinal, and clean.
Why we use it
Because skin that breaks out asks for ingredients with a track record. Tea tree is one of the most consistently used essential oils for blemish-prone faces in the entire wellness world. We use it in our Radiant Clear balm at a thoughtful concentration, paired with non-nano zinc and gentle tallow, so the support is real without the harshness.
What it offers your skin
A storied essential oil for blemish-prone skin. A medicinal-clean aroma that signals care. A traditional companion in formulas for reactive complexion.
