The Living Root: Sourdough, Tallow, and Intuitive Healing

The Intuitive Apothecary: Healing by Design

If you’ve spent any time around my kitchen, you know there is usually a sourdough starter bubbling on the counter, but my heart is often elsewhere—poring over my collection of therapeutic oils and botanicals.

For me, creating a balm isn't just about following a recipe; it’s an intuitive process. It’s about understanding the "soul" of a plant and how it interacts with our own biology to meet a specific healing need.

The Alchemy of Living Ingredients

When I bake sourdough, I’m working with wild yeast to transform simple flour into something life-giving. My work in the apothecary is very similar. I don't just "infuse" oils; I curate synergies.

I look at Blue Tansy for its ability to calm a "hot" inflammatory response, or Frankincense for its ancient, cellular-level grounding. Like a master baker knows exactly when a dough has reached its peak, I rely on my intuition to know when these botanical actives have come together to create a truly therapeutic "living" food for your skin.

Stewardship of the Spirit & Skin

In a world of synthetic, "dead" skincare, I choose to work with ancestral fats like grass-fed tallow because they act as the perfect carrier for these potent botanicals. Tallow is the bridge that allows these therapeutic oils to actually reach the places they are needed most.

Whether I’m scoring a loaf of bread for a friend or blending a batch of Radiant Ritual, the goal is the same: to be a steward of God-designed healing.
